I’m willing to go out on a banner-strewn limb and say that we live on the best block in Los Angeles. On Saturday, we had a block party—closed down the street, dj, grilling, a trumpeter! and a kid’s bicycle parade as well as water balloons, fireworks, a ping pong tournament and a treasure hunt. Oh—and a bicycle built for two. How glam is my neighbor Martha in a floor-length frock?
In addition to all the fun and games, there was the food. I can’t stop thinking about my neighbor Marc’s rosemary flatbread that Mr. Foodinista cooked on the grill. Or Judy’s Gruyere, mushroom and truffle mac n’ cheese, which she served in individual cupcake liners.
