A couple weeks ago I found myself desperate for winter clothes for a business trip to Madrid, but unwilling to shell out while 15 lbs of baby weight stubbornly lingers far longer than anticipated. (Granted, three burgers in the past week haven’t helped either.) So I picked up a couple of basics at Old Navy, and have gotten more compliments on this sweater coat ($39.50) than I ever did on a near identical one I got several years ago from Sonia Rykiel in Paris at ten times the price!
PS…the sleeves on mine differ from the above shot from the Old Navy website in that they are 3/4-length and don’t have cuffs. Old Navy must have changed the design in manufacturing after shooting the prototype for the lookbook. Anyway, it’s a great little buy.
